About us

I cannot recommend Miranda and The Barn at Silverstone enough!

She went above and beyond for everything! Every room was flawless, including the "back up" ceremony space in case it rained!

She took care of every single need or question that popped in my head.

She gave amazing recommendations and also responded to my emails immediately.

She made my wedding day go as smooth as possible.

I honestly believe she is the best around!!

Miranda & Nick

" There is nothing more rewarding than Helping create weddings as magical as our own."

- Miranda

On October 10th, 2015 Nick & Miranda

hosted their fairy-tale wedding at the very venue they worked so hard to help create.

The Barn at Silverstone.

You will be working along side Miranda throughout the planning process.

Her bubbly personality and meticulous attention to detail will ensure your wedding is nothing short of perfection.

Both Miranda and Nick  obtained a

Hospitality Management Degree from

Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Upon graduation they joined the family

Business as Innkeepers at the Silverstone Inn & Suites and have helped maintain the high standards and gracious hospitality that the

Inn is known for.

They have been inspired by the potential the Silverstone Estate has to offer with its beautiful grounds, historic 1750's limestone buildings, and gorgeous barns.

With the help of Toni & Lorin, They are proud to Manage the premier Wedding & Event Venue that is the Barn at Silverstone.

toni & Lorin

Toni & Lorin opened the award winning Silverstone Inn & Suites in 2007 and have strived to continually improve the property.

In 2003 they purchased the abandoned property and created the Silverstone Inn & Suites. When the renovation of the home was completed, the Inn received a preservation award from the historic society.

Over the years the Wortel's have continually enhanced the Estate by adding a geothermal heating/cooling system and a 100 KW Solar Field that powers the Inn. Toni & Lorin eventually purchased 5 additional acres which included the original Stone Bank Barn, Hay Barn, Sheep House, and Tenant House.  Their next endeavor was to restore the beautiful Stone Bank Barn.

Bringing life back into the vacant 1800's barn with a gorgeous upscale wedding venue was the key. After years of meticulous research and planning, the Silverstone Family completed the restoration of this magnificent structure. The grandeur and historic barn enhances any event.

The Barn at Silverstone

Built as part of the original 1000 acres farm, deeded from William Penn (now known as Silverstone Inn & Suites) and first settled in 1751 by the Evans Family, the early 1800's stone bank barn originally served to house the working horses in the lower stables area and store hay and feed on the upper floor to be fed through chutes down to the horses.

The full fieldstone gables have large ventilation slots which shows a mastery of masonry work. All original massive mortise and tennon beam work supports the barn and full slate roof to create a large open space with ventilation which served its use as a tobacco barn during the 1900's.

During restoration, all interior stonework has been repointed, all woodwork and beam systems have been preserved to create a beautiful reclaimed barn that provides climate controlled elegant open spaces for large events.

The lower stables area keeps its character by incorporating the original feeding troughs, chutes and gates into the décor and spills out into the courtyard area where it meets the Rustic Pavilion and Grand Limestone Fireplace.
